Frequent Flyers Program

Several of our rescues were lucky dogs and cats as they got to leave the island. Zeus and Lily are on their way to SoCal Bulldog Rescue in the LA area, Pickles the cat is heading up to Tokyo for a pit stop until Thursday and then will be off to San Diego, Jaxon's travel terminated in Tokyo and he will be up for adotpion in the Tokyo area (being fostered by the McDaniel's family), Rudy is on his way to Cheyenne Wyoming to become a part of the Varga family, and Rocket and Bubbles are on their way to Boulder Valley Humane Society where hopefully they will find their forever homes quickly. Thank you to the Horn Family for transporting Pickles and Jaxon up to Tokyo, to the Julian family for taking Pickles and Jaxon to the airport today, to Sarah's Pet Paradise for once again taking some of our rescues off island (5 this time!), to Lisa Schneider and Meghan Snyder for helping with the afternoon transport going to the states.

Dolly a doll of a dog

No one knows how Dolly found her way to Ozato. But the great rescue Lisa Cooper saw her Ozato picture and told us to send her to her she could find her a home. So the shaving and bathing and vetting began.

Hour 1 and 2 was spent on her front two legs

Her legs where so matted you could not tell her paw from the matts

Here is Lisa Cooper's daughter with Dolly and another recsue Lukey that we sent her. Lisa also has Lukey's mother Mei. Lukey will be Lisa's forever dog as he is staying put in her house.

FOOD DROP

We were told about a lady that had 30 dogs and could only afford to feed them once to twice a week. We immediately started asking for donations and where overwhelmed with the response we got. We soon had enough donated food to feed all of her dogs every day for the next 2 months. To date (Feb 2012) we have made 4 food drops.
